Felecia Hunter is an award-winning writer and creative producer whose credits include the Oscar-shortlisted NOCTURNE IN BLACK, winner of the Student Academy Award and BAFTA Student Film Award for Best Live Action Short; and GLADYS BROWN, recipient of the Caucus Foundation Producers Grant. She was also the executive producer of BONESHAKER, starring Oscar nominee Quvenzhané Wallis, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival; and AFRONAUTS, nominated for the Golden Berlin Bear award at Berlinale.
A native New Yorker, Felecia earned her B.A. at Columbia University, as well as an M.F.A in Creative Producing at Columbia where she was awarded the Entertainment Partners Producing Award. She has also produced digital content for Condé Nast, Smithsonian Institute, and was commissioned by Sesame Street to create and produce a live-action segment, "P is for Pictures", currently airing worldwide on HBO and PBS stations.
Felecia recently started her own company Get It Girl Productions, dedicated to making films, television and multimedia programming with an emphasis on inclusive storytelling.
